This might be suitable for a really simple ‘hobby’ website or fun project, but would rarely be considered for a business to show off their services.

The actual framework we refer to as WordPress can be installed on any web server and customised completely to create almost unlimited website layouts and designs. It allows you to access to over 70,000 plugins to get a website working exactly how you want it.
Most truly professional website designs use the WordPress framework as a basis, with an experienced web designer required to make the most of it.
A brochure website refers to a static website design that simply advertises a business’ services and/or products.
Items can not be purchased or booked directly from the website, hence why it functions like a ‘brochure’, whose purpose is to generate a call, email or message.
Yes, for most cases once a website is paid for, you can request the website files at any time to keep and use as you see fit. However, there are some important things to remember:
Web Hosting
In order for your website to be visible on the internet, it needs to be ‘hosted’ on a server. This requires a monthly fee.
If your website is to be hosted on our super-fast UK server, we will charge you that small monthly fee, which will often also cover minor website amends or updates.
If you want to choose your own web hosting provider, that’s fine too. However you or your employees will need to have the technical skills to manage this setup.
Website Maintenance & Updates
When hosted on our servers, we will ensure your website is kept up-to-date with security patches and bug-fixes. Plus you will be able to contact us for quick amends when necessary.
If you want to keep the website hosted on your own choice of server, we would be happy to login and work on it for you at a pro-rata rate.
Premium Plugins
Sometimes we use premium WordPress plugins to enhance a website’s design or functionality, which we have licenses for. Whilst your website is hosted on our servers, these plugins will remain up-to date and registered with the relevant providers.
We can provide details for you to buy your own licenses, should you wish to host the site on your own server.
When we build websites at VZN Studios, we optimise the site as ‘SEO-ready’. This means if you decide you want to pay for our SEO service (or someone else’s), the website will already be created in the most Google-friendly way.
Our clients often find that their websites rank pretty well organically for some terms, simply from how well they are built. However for really competitive Google rankings, you will need dedicated SEO work carried out.
